Today is Fun with Family Friday featuring the letter E!!

Today's E craft is making envelopes and matching note cards.
to send to friends , family, for gift cards for birthdays, holidays, and much more!!
You can use wrapping paper, construction paper, scrapbook paper,
or whatever else you can think off.
I am using a 12" x 12" piece of scrapbook paper featuring apples.
Next cut along the dark lines. You will now fold on all the dotted lines to
give nice sharp creases. Fold in the bottom flap and press seam flat.
Next fold in the 2 sides pieces and press seams flat.
At this point use either glue or tape and attach the side pieces just to the edges of the bottom piece you folded up.
Almost done!!
Fold down the top flap and press a nice seam.
Now for the notecard- I took the left off scrapbook paper I had and cut out a piece with
pinking shears to measure a piece 11" by 4" . I folded it in half width wise so that I had now a note card measuring 5 1/2" x 4" .
pinking shears to measure a piece 11" by 4" . I folded it in half width wise so that I had now a note card measuring 5 1/2" x 4" . It should fit perfectly inside your envelope.
When it is time to seal your envelope- just dab a dot of glue onto it.

You are done with your own custom envelope and note card!

Edible clay? Can I have some coffee with that? Yum. ;-)
Fun craft, btw.
How fun!
I wish we could do the clay! :)
Love the craft! Edible clay is perfect since my little one insists on eating play doh! :)
You and Simply Savvy Life really need to get together today! Her blog (ok this may not be the right day, I only have 135 blogs to check out and comment on today) was on Thank You notes and how to make them personalized. What a great way to do so!

Edible clay?!?! That sounds awesome, I've never heard of it before! That would have been perfect for me. I was a clay eater. (hangs head in shame) Thanks for the ideas, I'll be linking.
What a great blog, I am anxious to come back often!!! What super cute ideas!
If you like making your own cards and envelopes, you should check out Rabbit Press' book called Mail It! It comes with a CD, too, with all the templates so you can download and print them to any size. I bought this book last year and have enjoyed it :)
Edible Clay?? What a good idea!
